Data Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Model Development: Design and develop machine learning models, define optimized parameter values and algorithms (e.j XGBoost, Decision tree or HGBT Hybrid Gradient Boosting ) tailored to meet specific business challenges.
• Technical Implementation: Utilize Python/PySpark and its machine learning libraries to engineer scalable and efficient AI solutions.
• Data Management: Manage and query data using SQL and industry-standard relational databases, with a preference for SAP Hana.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to understand business needs and deliver AI-driven analytics that inform strategic decisions.
• Insight Translation: Convert complex data-driven insights into actionable strategies that align with our organizational goals.
• Solution Maintenance: Improve existing data models and parameters, ensuring optimal performance and better outcome.
• Innovation: Continuously seek and identify advancements in data science and machine learning to enhance our methodologies and technologies.

Requirements:

• Industry Experience: Background in tennis or sports analytics is highly valued.
• Professional Expertise: Demonstrated success as a Data Scientist, evidenced by a strong portfolio of impactful AI projects.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python or PySpark, familiar with machine learning libraries, and skilled in SQL. Experience with SAP Hana or similar databases preferred.
• Tool Familiarity: Experience with SAP AI Core for developing and deploying AI models is an asset.
• Autonomy: Capable of independently designing and executing AI solutions.
• Broad Skills: While not essential, knowledge of data engineering principles is beneficial.
• Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is required.
