Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced and (of course) friendly colleague to join us and help us build a great analytics team! As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in building and implementing machine learning models to address business challenges, analyzing complex datasets to extract actionable insights, and creating automated models, analyses or reports that will drive data-informed decision-making across the company. 

You will have the opportunity to keep improving our data processes and methodologies, working on various topics from across the company, including supply chain, purchase, and pricing. Your expertise and innovative ideas will directly contribute to the development and success of our business analytics strategy, making a tangible impact on our company’s growth and direction. 

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist min. 3 years
• Proven track record in data analysis, data science, and ML model deployment preferably in cloud environments
• Very good programming skills with sound practical experience in Python and SQL
• Knowledge of common data science libraries and tools such as scikit-learn, pandas, Matplotlib and jupyter
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI
• Knowledge of professional software development methods including version control (Git), CI/CD and containerization (Kubernetes) is welcome
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Communicative knowledge of English and/or German
• Background in IT, statistics or mathematics
