DevOps Strategic Lead

What will be your key responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and optimize Azure infrastructure to support reliable, scalable applications.

• Configure and improve development tools and pipelines within Azure DevOps for smooth and efficient workflows.

• Collaborate on DevOps strategy and best practices across the company, particularly in establishing consistent Azure practices.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to DevOps engineers within your division, while fostering a collaborative environment across teams.

• Contribute to cross-team initiatives, ensuring alignment in Azure infrastructure and DevOps practices across different departments.

What we expect

• Proven experience with Azure infrastructure, including services such as Azure Front Door, App Service, Azure Storage, Virtual Machines, SQL, and Azure Active Directory.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with the ability to implement and promote best practices effectively.

• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and a proactive approach to optimizing development workflows.

• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence best practices throughout the organization.

• Mentorship abilities to guide and support DevOps engineers within your division, fostering their professional growth.

• Fluency in English and Czech.

What is nice to have:

• Experience in implementing DevOps best practices across diverse teams or large organizations.

• Familiarity with automation tools and scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to streamline DevOps processes.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards in Azure environments.

• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Previous experience in a mentoring or coaching role to develop junior engineers.

• Preference for onsite work, though flexible arrangements can be discussed.
