Experienced Senior Manager - SSC - Accounting

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Strong experience in supervising and managing teams, motivating team members (100+ FTEs)
  • Act professionally and pro-actively to ensure smooth collaboration between operational teams, functional teams, and leadership both locally and remotely.
  • Lead the implementation of the accounting processes and process improvements that are defined by the Global Process Responsible (GPR) organization within GBS operations.
  • Key stakeholder management and service delivery for GBS Operational teams
  • GBS contact person for Functional Operations Lead and GPR regarding accounting activities, operations, advancing the digitization of processes and escalating requests to GPR or business partners (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Sales, etc.).
  • Responsible for ongoing day to day management of GBS Team Leads and external parties and managing performance levels of all accounting services provided
  • GBS responsibility for the implementation of services and operational service fulfillment (quality, costs and delivery) through KPIs/SLAs.
  • Facilitate cross-trainings
  • Drive continuous improvement of service delivery and service portfolio
  • Identification of requirements regarding IT tools and processes optimization

What experience should you have:

  • Degree in Business Studies with majors in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Business Services, leading Finance/Accounting functions, with a deep understanding of accounting and business processes.
  • Experience in transition, migration, standardization of processes and process improvement methodologies, LEAN Sigma, PMP, Prince2 etc.
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to proficiently convey concepts to management, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with cross-cultural teams and work environment
  • Business fluent in English (German nice to have)
