Finance Systems Manager

The Finance Systems Manager is instrumental in strategizing, implementing, and optimizing financial software solutions within ABS. This roles works with the CI, Regional Process Owners, and Market operation team to streamline financial processes, enhance system functionalities, and ensure the integrity and security of financial data.  Plans and works closely with Information Technology Services personnel, system vendors and staff as system changes and upgrades are planned, tested, and implemented. Manages and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and IT department, offering expertise in financial applications (Blackline, Concur, SAP), to drive process improvements and to resolve complex technical issues.  

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial applications used by the company, ensuring configurations, integrations, and interfaces work effectively.
  • Manage the monitoring of system performance and collaborate with IT or vendors to resolve escalated issues promptly.
  • Coordinate collaboration with finance teams, IT, and vendors to enhance systems. Leads or participates in projects from requirements to implementation, ensuring alignment with shared services needs.
  • Ensure training and maintainaince of system documentation, and manages assistance of users in effective system utilization. Oversees troubleshooting of issues and escalate complex problems to IT or vendors.
  • Maintain data accuracy, analyze financial data, and create standardized reports and dashboards. These reports aid decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Responsable for identification of process efficiencies from system perspecitve, and for implementing automation solutions and best practices. Participate and lead form technical perspective continuous improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure finance systems comply with regulations and internal controls, contribute to disaster recovery plans and collaborate with audit teams to address control deficiencies.

What experience should you have:

  • Bachelor's/ master's degree or relevant certifications in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting with a focus on financial applications such as Blackline, Concur and SAP
  • Strong analytical skills, enabling them to extract, analyze, and interpret complex financial data and reports effectively.
  • Problem-solving capabilities are crucial, allowing to troubleshoot system issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Should excel in collaborative, cross-functional environments and have the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.- Experience of working in shared services functions or within regional teams in an matrix environment is a must.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or agile frameworks certifications are advantageous
  • English, other European languages are advantageous
