Group Head of Retail Media Sales

What will be your key responsibilities:

Retail Media is known as the 3rd big wave of Advertising and is growing fast all over the globe. Thanks to our strong grocery market position, our detailed knowledge of our customers, for whom Rohlik Group’s local services are true love brands, and to our advanced advertising solutions, Rohlik Group is very well positioned for success in this new advertising era.

The Head of Retail Media Sales has responsibility for our Group’s sales results of our Retail Media business, which enables advertisers and media agencies to build strong brand awareness and consideration with the highly attractive customer segments who interact with Rohlik services. This leader defines our sales strategy (direct and indirect channels, proposition, incentives and monetization model), leveraging our Rohlik service USPs, our advertising product solution (“Rohlik Ads and Insights”) and local organizational capabilities. They hire and lead a group of local Media Sales Managers (direct reports) geographically based on local country teams who execute this sales strategy locally in order to deliver the target Retail Media advertising revenues. The Head of Retail Media sales establishes strong mechanisms with local organization, with the Rohlik Group executives, and with external partners (advertisers and media agencies) in order to deliver these results and to continuously improve our Retail Media go-to-market approach.

Your tasks and responsibilities 

- Own and ensure delivery of the target Retail Media revenues across Rohlik Group

- Define a winning sales strategy that leverages our Retail Media strategy, tech solution and audience for best results

- Establish profitable long term partnerships with relevant media agencies and advertisers

- Build and lead a high-performing team of local Media Sales Managers responsible for sales in their markets

- Own and expand the Retail Media sales funnel across our markets

- Collaborate with advertisers and agencies to get their feedback and visionary ideas for the the continuous development of our Retail Media proposition and solution

- Work closely with the Country leadership to ensure results delivery or Retail Media campaigns executed locally

- Be well connected to online marketing eco-system and pick up latest industry trends

What experience should you have:

- Think big: have bold ambition for our Retail Media business, with clear mind about how to leverage our asset to become the most successful advertising space for consumer brands

- Move fast: Get into execution mode fast, both in building the org and in selling campaign

- Get hands dirty: Bias for action and for “taking the phone” instead of going through others

- Relentless sales orientation: We have a great product for a developing market, which requires education and creative solutions. Do not give up easily.

- Know deeply the advertising business and European landscape (best practice retailers, relevant media houses and agencies, non-endemic opportunities) 

- Mindset for game-changing innovation and creative solutions- no limits just opportunities

- Open communication and high customer service orientation

- 8-10 years of experience in advertising sales, incl. sales leadership position, ideally in FMCG

- Great leadership skills and ability to work in and deliver results across international markets

- Proven ability of defining a sales strategy and to operationalize it

- Brilliant collaboration with other departments and stakeholders across the group

- Strong personality, entrepreneurial spirit and high respect for the customer experience

- Strong existing network of potential advertisers and agencies
