Head of Group Accounting

DODO is unstoppable! We are a technology and logistics service for e-commerce, retail, restaurants, and fast food, and within a few years, we have become one of the largest last-mile delivery providers in Europe. We currently operate in 6 markets where we partner with the biggest clients to help them deliver their goods to their customers as quickly as possible, so our service must be one step ahead of the rest of the market. We use advanced technology and are developing our own logistics platform, GAIA, which facilitates real-time data collection. This enables us to deliver goods faster, more efficiently, and more sustainably.  

Step into a leadership role as the Head of our Accounting Team. Drive accurate financial reporting, optimize budgets, and collaborate across departments.  

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Managing the internal accounting team and coordination of the external accounting companies
  • Responsibility for the accuracy of all accounting entries
  • Monthly and yearly closing accounting books
  • Preparing financial statements and reports (P&L, BS, CF)
  • Cooperation with external auditors (Big4)
  • Managing year-end IFRS consolidation on the group level
  • Collection, control and processing of data for consolidation from local companies
  • Provide methodology support and consultancy to local companies in application of group reporting guidelines
  • Provide methodology for Chart of accounts and ensure the consistency between entities
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all our local entities (CZ, SK, DACH, HU, BG)
  • Cooperation on the ERP implementation project
  • Advising senior management on financial matters 

What experience should you have:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing accounting teams across multiple countries, preferably in logistics or related industries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with good communication skills
  • Proficiency in international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance
  • Proactive in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving process improvements
