Head of HR - Operations Germany & Austria (m/f/d)

The People & Culture team focuses on creating a Great Place to Work with highly engaged teams, and supporting the business to achieve its strategic priorities and performance. We ensure our cultural Ingredients are embedded and role modelled throughout the organisation. We obsess about customers and employee experience; from our external brand, to hiring, colleagues time growing with us, through to their last day of employment. Of course we are also meticulous with our functional excellence, everything from; people data, analysis, communications, development, legislation, payroll end to end People experts. You'll partner with other DACH People teams and the wider People and Culture function across the group.

The role:

You’ll collaborate with the Head of Group HR Operations as well as Chief Operations Officer to develop and deliver comprehensive programs for all workforce in Operations teams of Knuspr and Gurkerl. You will take ownership of ensuring high quality talent in the right role, at the right time,, strategy for a highly engaged team and great place to work, enabling growth and development that help our people to acquire new skills and progress in the career ladder. You will be the local HR lead for any group wide People activities whether such as reward, performance, talent to name a few. in everything we do, making sure we deliver on commitments, and have real impact on business.

What you have to look forward to

  • Be a guardian of our culture and imprint the cultural Ingredients into every aspect of how we build business together
  • Own, develop and lead the full HR agenda for Operations in Germany and Austria, creating and delivering high impact People strategies directly linked to business priorities, employee engagement and performance 
  • Ensure we have high calibre talent, in the right role at the right time 
  • Lead and manage the HR organisation for Germany and Austria (3 Warehouses)
  • Ensure onboarding delivers fast and sustainable high engagement and performance. 
  • Ensure we have a highly customer orientated, efficient, accurate and timely HR function in areas such as; payroll, data, systems accuracy, HR Admin and compliance
  • Be a trustworthy partner and thought leader to management team and the COO and wider People function
  • Ensure we deliver high quality internal communications and change management

Welche Erfahrung sollten Sie haben:

Who we are looking for?

  • 5+ years experience of supporting a large Operations community in an international and multi-country environment, preferably in retail, logistics or production field
  • A proven commercial and data oriented partner to senior leaders
  • Track record in developing and delivering a multifunctional People strategy that has measurable business impact 
  • Experience at transformational employee engagement improvements 
  • Able to drive operational and functional improvements in maturing a relatively new business and People function 
  • Hands on experience with workforce planning in hiring high quality employees, at high volume, and pace
  • Builder capability to build and create products and services where they don't exist in the group
  • Strong project management skills, ability to start from scratch and deliver a scalable solution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills in a highly matrix organisation; you’ll need to manage sideways and up as you will be partnering with many functions
  • Proven delivery in an extremely fast changing environment, experience in a growing business and developing people practices is a big plus
  • Vendor management across countries
  • Fluency in German and English and excellent communication skills
