Head of Operations & Maintenance (energy)
Our client – a leading company in the Baltic States for the installation and maintenance of solar power plants and BESS. The company is looking for an Head of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) who, together with their team, will ensure the quality and results of services provided to clients.
You will work with some of the largest developers, builders, manufacturers, and partners in Europe, coordinating service and maintenance activities, leading teams, and ensuring the highest quality of services. What will be your key responsibilities:
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead a team responsible for solar parks, battery storage systems, and other maintenance, operational, technical, or consulting services, ensuring smooth, high-quality, and efficient work;
• Ensure smooth execution of service and maintenance processes by actively coordinating resources so that tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and according to commitments to clients, while complying with applicable laws, service instructions, and schedules;
• Manage tasks and priorities of internal and external resources, assisting teams in evaluating all necessary aspects and ensuring that their plans are well-founded and successfully implemented, fulfilling all contractual obligations to clients;
• Evaluate team-prepared plans, schedules, and reports, ensuring their quality and applicability to clients and their activities;
• Optimize service execution, improve processes, and increase operational efficiency;
• Monitor project expenses, ensure timely recording, and verify compliance with planned budgets;
• Ensure that clients receive all contractually agreed services and are continuously informed about relevant events or results;
• Regularly collaborate with clients, providing accurate and up-to-date information while maintaining principles of honesty and transparency;
• Analyze team performance, assess risks, provide suggestions for process improvements, and ensure processes comply with established procedures, initiating updates or enhancements as needed;
• In the event of incidents or critical situations, coordinate actions between coordinators, dispatchers, and subcontractors to ensure timely problem resolution.
What experience should you have:
Candidate Requirements:
• Higher education (engineering, electrical engineering, or management – an advantage);
• Experience in project and team management;
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and/or solar power plants and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) operations;
• Ability to plan processes, prioritize tasks, and solve challenges under time and resource constraints;
• Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills;
• Good computer skills, experience with management systems;
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
