ICT Administrator (A965) - BA hybrid

Our partner is a well-established tech company with a global footprint, specializing in software solutions for meteorology and aviation. With over two decades of experience, they play a key role in building systems that help national meteorological services and air traffic control centers around the world make accurate, real-time decisions. Their work directly supports critical sectors like aviation safety, weather forecasting, and climate monitoring.

We are looking for a skilled ICT Administrator with a solid technical background and a passion for infrastructure, virtualization, and automation. If you enjoy keeping systems running smoothly, building reliable environments, and constantly improving IT operations, this opportunity is for you. You’ll work with modern technologies, ensure system stability, and have room to grow in a technically challenging role.

What will be your key responsibilities:

installation, maintenance, upgrades, and backups of internal servers, workstations, network equipment, notebooks, VoIP phones, and printers
troubleshooting internal IT issues — both user support and server/infrastructure incidents
maintenance and organization of the assembly room, server room, and hardware warehouse
creating and maintaining technical documentation for systems, servers, and network infrastructure
ensuring that all software licenses are properly managed and compliant
contributing to the improvement of internal IT infrastructure and implementation of new technologies.

What experience should you have:

university or technical institute degree (Mgr., Ing., or equivalent) — technical field preferred
advanced administration skills with Linux application servers (E-mail, DNS, DHCP, Web)
advanced administration skills with PROXMOX (KVM-based) virtual environments
advanced administration of Windows desktops and servers
strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
active experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence administration
hands-on experience with hardware maintenance, including workstation assembly (RAM, disks, PSU) and rack management (server installation, patch cabling, best practices)
self-driven and able to manage multiple tasks independent
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
curiosity and interest in continuous learning – keeping up with evolving technologies
reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented professional approach

Nice to have:

experience with networking – firewall, proxy server setup and maintenance
scripting knowledge (Bash, Perl, PHP, Python)
familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Cobbler)
experience with high-availability clustering (DRBD, Pacemaker, RedHat Cluster, etc.)
knowledge of Asterisk/VoIP system maintenance
architectural mindset – ability to design optimal IT solutions
