IFRS Business Transformation Specialist

What will be your key responsibilities:

You will take part in the General Ledger Accounting Services Team. This team is responsible for supporting the European & Asian branches of the corporation with accounting, controlling, and reporting activities. All is done according to internal guidelines and accounting valuations including US GAAP, local branch accounting policies, and local tax requirements. We seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes while transitioning to IFRS.

What would be your responsibilities? Let s say your role would not be that stable within a team but focused on project activities and consulting business needs with your internal clients and SAP experts.
You should
  • Help us to drive the transition from US GAAP to IFRS accounting
  • Act as a focal point for IFRS project activities
  • Drive set-up of SAP processes to accommodate all IFRS needs
  • Enable accounting team to provide timely and accurate accounting, controlling, and reporting tasks according to IFRS guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
  • Participate on and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required
  • Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities

What experience should you have:

What do we expect from YOU?

Education in areas of finance, accounting, economics or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in IFRS accounting / financial reporting/ audit
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of financial reporting processes, risks and controls
  • Adherence to deadlines and ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to drive teamwork
  • Self-starter able to navigate with ambiguity
  • Fluent English written and spoken
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is a must
  • Good comprehension of MS Office
