International Accounting Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Process and monitor multi-currency transactions and exchange rate applications.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations.
• Knowledge of VAT, GST, and other tax filings across different areas as required.
• Support payroll processing in collaboration with HR and external payroll providers.
• Generate financial reports and provide variance analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing and vendor payments.
• Assist with budget tracking and financial forecasting.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi-entity environment
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks online system.
• Proficiency in handling multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange adjustments
• Familiarity with international VAT, GST, and withholding tax regulations (experience with EU, US, and/or APAC tax systems a plus)
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment.
• Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CPA) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience/knowledge working with On-line Quick Books software.
• Experience with financial reporting consolidation across multiple countries
• Advance user of MicroSoft Excel
• Working knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP
