IT Service Engineer

Meet our team

Our digital team is seeking a bright, independent colleague who would join us in Brno office and complete the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team located across the globe. Our team is responsible for delivering digital state-of-the-art solutions based on the needs and requirements of our logistics processes and end users.

These business-critical 3rd party digital solutions play a key role to support our business to pre-plan, dispatch and track the shipments of our Heidelberg Materials products. Our solutions are well integrated to other HM products and our core ERP system, SAP. 

Our team consists of skilled Application and 2nd level support analysts, as well as Solution and Service owners.

What will be your key responsibilities:

What will you do

You will oversee and manage incoming requests related to our SCM team, usually created by first level support or our global key user community. Depending on the diverse nature of these requests (i.e. perfor-mance monitoring, OS maintenance, identified bugs, feature requests) and based on your IT skills, you will either solve them directly or consult with other Digital colleagues globally. In other cases, you turn to our international 3rd party providers and ensure the request is understood and taken care of with an appropriate priority.

There are plenty of opportunities for you to deep dive into related company-wide IT infrastructure and business projects.


What experience should you have:

You are an ideal candidate if you are:

  • Experienced in IT infrastructure support area (i.e., server hosting, OS Windows patching, networking, virtualization….)
  • Proactive individual with a sense for detail and service orientation
  • Well-developed analytical, communicative and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel within Europe

What is beneficial:

  • ITIL foundation
  • Basic MS SQL knowledge
  • Basic SAP ERP experience (idoc interfaces, xml schemas etc.)
