We own and operate mines, power plants, and other assets in the UK, the US, and Australia. Additionally, we are actively pursuing multiple new opportunities in mature markets in Europe, North America, and Australia, as well as in growth regions such as Southeast Asia. Our businesses are managed from Prague by a team of over 50 professionals with expertise in transactions, markets, law, finance, and technical operations.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Responsibilities and Objectives of this Role:

We are currently looking for exceptional and reliable colleagues with drive and proven financial and analytical skills to expand our M&A team. You will be responsible for evaluation of acquisition opportunities in energy markets and hands-on execution of transactions, incl. due diligences, valuations, and negotiations with sellers and sell-side advisors.

Screening confidential information memorandum (CIM) documents for opportunities aligning with the firm's framework and composing an efficient synthesis
Drafting and presenting internal proposals for approval by our 7GI Investment Committee
Providing analytics to help Vice Presidents & key decision makers make informed decisions
Build robust valuation models with various scenarios
Coordinate market, legal, financial and technical advisors on the deal
Conduct market research to assess a company’s growth potential
Negotiate, structure, and complete investment documentation
Monitor potential investment opportunities in an assigned sector
Develop relationship with partners (investments banks & other funds)

What experience should you have:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

University degree with excellent grades, preferentially in economics, sciences or technical professions
Fluent English & Czech (Slovak)
0,5 - 2 years of experience in analytical services (preferably BCG, McKinsey & Company, etc.), ideally abroad as well
Strong analytical skills (knowledge of analytical platforms in addition to Excel proficiency)
Team player with responsible and proactive approach and solid communication skills
