Maintenance Technician

• Responsible for the overall maintaining, upgrading and repairing of machinery and equipment

• Responsible to support the process engineer in sustaining and improving productivity, yield and quality related to process and equipment

• Resiponsible the facility preventive maintenance to improve equipment efficiency

• Study, design, develop or suggest new tools/equipment to improve overall operation efficiency

• Ensure readiness of equipment, tooling, and jigs to support production

• Equipment setup and fine tuning for new processor issue escalation by production

• Collaborate with the facility team to ensure all tooling and equipment are in good conditions

• Collaborate with Process Engineering to ensure smooth new process introduction

• Suggestions for upgrades of equipment if necessary and ensure overall compliance with health and safety legislation

• Prepare preventive maintenance plan, perform predictive and preventive maintenance. Guide and work closely with production to carry out the autonomous maintenance at production lines

• To carry out modification and troubleshooting or diagnosing faults on the machines and equipment

• Promptly attend to process equipment and machinery failure for investigation and corrective action to ensure speedy restoration of normal plant production

• Manage and control stocks of equipment and facilities spare parts

• Responsible for planning and executing projects as required by other department or management

• 3 years of working experience in the field

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical or any related in Engineering field

• Strong knowledge in machinery electrical/mechanical or both

• Knowledge in PLC is an added advantage

• Knowledge in building high voltage electrical systems and compressed air is an added advantage

• Understanding of basic problem solving skills through engineering approach such as Pareto and 5 Whys
