Marketing Specialist - English

Our client is a quantum technology startup based in Ulm, Germany, with Tier 1 investors from Silicon Valley, Europe, and Israel. Their goal is to enable non-invasive imaging of metabolism in the body without radiation using quantum technology, improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurological disorders. They collaborate with leading cancer centers in the US and EU- such as the University of California San Francisco, Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, MD Anderson in Texas, Technical University of Munich, and Cambridge University in the UK - and are just leaving stealth mode, moving from local R&D to global commercialization and expansion.

We are searching for a talented Marketing Specialist with a strong background in corporate identity, branding, and marketing within the med/biotech industry. It would be highly beneficial to have experience serving the life science research market, specifically in preclinical and clinical research, specializing in medical imaging. In this role, you will work closely with our client's product and business development team to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies highlighting our client's exceptional products and services. 

This position offers an international scope, as it involves marketing our client's products and services across all markets where they are currently active. You can work on global marketing initiatives, engage with diverse audiences, and expand our client's brand presence worldwide (by employment or freelancer full-time or part-time).

It is open to candidates in the United States and the European Union.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our client's products and services within the med/biotech industry, specifically focusing on the life science research market, including preclinical and clinical research.
  • Collaborating with product and business development teams to align marketing initiatives and communicate our client's unique value proposition, providing market insights, reports, user needs, and trends to sales and product teams for product development. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, influencers, and partners to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth.
  • Creating and managing corporate identity and branding initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation across various marketing channels. Planning and overseeing the development of marketing materials, including print and digital collateral, website content, presentations, and promotional campaigns, and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Performing market research and analysis to segment the market, identify target audiences and trends, and leverage findings for strategic marketing decisions. Implement tailored messaging and segmentation techniques to target specific customer segments effectively.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest marketing trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies in the med/biotech industry and applying them to drive innovative marketing strategies.
  • Participating in international conferences and events to expand industry connections and knowledge.

What experience should you have:

  • Proven experience in marketing roles, focusing on corporate identity, branding, and marketing in the med/biotech industry.
  • Strong understanding of the life-science (preclinical & clinical) research market and the unique marketing challenges and opportunities. Demonstrated expertise in medical imaging is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that have increased brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and marketing strategy development.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and deliver impactful marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in creating persuasive marketing materials and content effectively conveying complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for marketing, delivering results, and achieving business objectives through successful campaigns that have improved revenue.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to evolving business needs. 
  • Business savviness, enthusiasm, passion for marketing, and delivering results.
  • Educational background in relevant fields (e.g., Marketing, Business Administration, a scientific field) or equivalent experience.
  • English proficiency (German language skills are a plus but not mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time
