Mechanical Design Engineer - Contractor

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the development of a modern construction machine for a U.S. company on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Modify and optimize 3D models and assemblies in OnShape (or SolidWorks),

- Design and develop mechanical parts – arms, joints, adapters and steel structures,

- Cooperate with the manufacturer on technical design adjustments,

- Prepare technical and assembly drawings for production and assembly partners,

- Review and integrate new components (battery, charger, electrical parts) into the 3D model,

- Implement feedback from the manufacturer and assembly partner,

- Design wiring harnesses based on provided wiring diagrams in cooperation with an electrical engineer,

- Continuously update and simplify the overall design of the machine.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering (preferably in construction or heavy equipment),

- Strong knowledge of CAD design– preferably OnShape, alternatively SolidWorks,

- Experience with mechanical parts design (arms, joints, adapters, steel structures),

- Understanding of hydraulic systems in construction or industrial equipment,

- Ability to read and create technical documentation and assembly drawings,

- Experience with 3D model optimization and simplifying manufacturing designs,

- Communicative English (B2 level) with technical vocabulary,
