O2C Accountant with French

Responsibility for cash application and cash collection for the markets serviced. The role also includes providing support to divisional entities that are serviced in reviewing, researching, validating and clearing customer deductions including returns, markdowns, trade spend, customer fines, shortages etc. for all types of incoming payment receipts. The role involves close cooperation with local teams in the countries involved in O2C process ( i.e. order processing, sales, customer service). The O2C Accountant works closely with the O2C Senior and Supervisor to ensure the efficient and secure collection of overdue invoices.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Support cash application to the correct customer account
  • Support discounts/deductions, including monitoring customer deductions, matching with appropriate credit notes, and managing deduction discrepancies
  • Support the O2C Supervisor in credit control activities including credit checks, credit limit reviews, and credit agency relationship management
  • Support the cash collection process, tracking a detailed understanding of historical customer behavior
  • Ensure compliance with internal rules and regulations and provide support for internal and external audits as needed

What experience should you have:

  • Degree or diploma in finance/accounting and applicable knowledge and understanding of
general accounting principles
  • Excellent French and English languages are required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance/accounting; manufacturing
and/or branded consumer goods industry experience is an advantage
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with strong organizational skills, excellent in meeting deadlines
  • Strong command of MS Excel, working knowledge of Microsoft Navision is an advantage
