Procurement and Inbound Logistics Specialist

We are looking for an Inbound Logistics Specialist with experience in Procurement. Our client is a globally recognized brand in the toy industry. This role is essential in managing the comprehensive procurement of figurines, playsets, and components—from initial requirement planning to their final delivery to global locations (EU/US/APAC).

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire supply process, ensuring efficient procurement and timely inbound logistics.
  • Optimize inventory turnover by collaborating closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Order Management teams to align demand and supply plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in lead times, on-time delivery, and logistics costs. Proactively conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective measures as needed.
  • Support Sales and Marketing by providing supply solutions for promotions and leading the end-to-end (E2E) development process.
  • Act as a primary stakeholder in the S&OP Supplier Review, maintaining current reporting standards and pursuing enhancement initiatives.
  • Lead projects focused on improving production and distribution network efficiency alongside Strategic Procurement, Logistics, and Technical teams.
  • Propose and implement process improvements in daily Supply Planning operations to enhance speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive KPI reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and review performance with cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes, making them more efficient and lean.

What experience should you have:

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Supply Planning or Supply Chain Management in an international environment, preferably in CPG/FMCG.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and advanced user of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP ERP is required; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SAP IBP and Python is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and project leadership capabilities.
  • Innovative thinker with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% globally.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German or other languages is an asset.

What do you get in return:

  • Be part of a growing, supportive, and inspiring work environment with opportunities for professional development.
  • Access to various online training courses via our platform.
  • Competitive, fair salary with periodic reviews and added benefits.
  • Daily meal allowance.
  • Subsidized pension scheme to help secure your future.
  • Attractive discounts on schleich® products.
  • Enjoy 30 days of paid annual leave and a flexible, hybrid work model with no fixed core hours.

Would you be excited to join a successful German company?  Apply today, we would like to get to know you!
