Quality Supervisor Fruits & Vegetables DACH (m/w/b)

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the entire quality control process of fruits and vegetables from the supplier, through receiving at the warehouse, picking, transport to the customer. Manages the quality control of fruits and vegetables in all warehouses. Reports the results of the work done to his/her team. Actively participates in fruit and vegetable innovation and process optimization



What will be your key responsibilities:

Quality Control F&V

  • Setting up & managing a consistent F&V quality control system across all warehouses in Germany and Austria

  • Ensuring uniform QC system at all warehouses

  • Scheduling shifts, determining responsibilities, establishing workload

  • Checking the quality control performed

  • Evaluation of F&V quality control results

Suppliers:

  • Control of F&V suppliers, risk suppliers / new suppliers

  • Evaluation of suppliers

  • Working with suppliers to improve their quality standards

Products

  • Defining quality for F&V

  • Detailed product specification - buyer knows what they are buying, supplier knows what to expect, quality manager has something to check against, customer knows what to expect....

Complaints

  • Resolving complaints with the customer, customer complaints

  • Complaint resolution with suppliers (corrective actions), with warehouse (vegetable quality), trend monitoring, complaint evaluation

  • implementation of customer expectations towards products

Specific projects

  • Construction of a new fruit/vegetable section

  • Updating layouts, etc.

What experience should you have:

  • Product knowledge of fruit and vegetables

  • Food Science degree, min. Food processing, min., high school (ideally university)

  • Experience with quality control, quality management system in food operation (warehouse, retail preferably) - 5 years of experience

  • Experience in managing a team of people, Leadership type - ability to manage and coordinate the performance of multiple people, give feedback, delegate tasks, check adherence to set processes and motivate performance and delivery of results

  • Good communication skills - able to balance communication between quality, commercial, operation and supply chain teams.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environment
