R&D Engineer

You will be part of the R&D team working to develop GAIA, the data-driven logistics platform used by hundreds of our couriers every day. R&D is dedicated to technological innovation.

We are looking for a senior colleague that will join the VRP Solver team, responsible for planning routes for our couriers, supporting our key objectives of providing fast, precise in-slot delivery while minimizing mileage, incorporating near real-time information from the situation on the ground.

Our code is covered by tests, nightly regression simulations and benchmarks. We work with you-build-it-you-run-it approach, the team owns & deploys its' own changes and is actively involved in making them succeed in operations.

You will work with infrastructure spanning hundreds of compute cores, get to read, experiment with and implement whitepapers related to VRPs, and come up with your own novel approaches. Data is at core of our daily decision making, working knowledge of Python is a plus.

Tech Stack:

• .NET 8 & C#
• Azure – Cosmos DB, Log Analytics, Blob/Table Storage, Logic Apps, Functions, App Services, Container Instances, VMs
• Python (Jupyter Notebooks) for data analyses. 

• You have a good knowledge of writing high-performance C# and experience of developing on the .NET platform.
• You are proficient in NoSQL and SQL databases.
• You have an interest in heuristic algorithms and machine learning.
• You have an aptitude for mathematics (especially statistics, probabilistics).
• You are proficient in English.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and awareness of new technologies and trends is welcome.
