Salesperson (UK)

Looking for a candidate to drive sales growth and profitability in assigned accounts or territories, while cultivating key relationships and exceeding sales targets.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Regularly visit both existing and new customers to assess their needs and characteristics. Present suitable products, solutions, and services
  • Continuously analyze and evaluate customer and territory sales trends, and report periodically. Plan sales activities based on territory requirements to ensure the territory meets or exceeds assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships and ensure satisfaction with the products, solutions, and services offered. Implement and monitor innovative marketing activities to expand and grow core business
  • Identify and maintain regular contact with prospective customers. Develop and implement creative strategies to convert these prospective customers from competitors to new customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influential thought leaders. Utilize these relationships to expand market share
  • Maintain accurate customer files and records in the CRM system to ensure complete and up-to-date customer information. This facilitates effective activity planning, which can be shared across the local organization
  • Report to management any product issues, loss or potential loss of key customers, or competitive sales strategies that impact local sales positively or negatively
  • Stay informed on products, technologies, clinical studies, competitive activities, and other relevant information. Promote courses and events of the organization and apply this knowledge to develop your commercial activities based on consultative selling
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures and demonstrate the ability to implement them effectively at the territory level
  • Establish and maintain a travel schedule to ensure consistent contact with existing and potential customers
  • Manage the assigned geographical territory within the allocated expense budget
  • Complete all administrative paperwork promptly
  • Participate in national and international trade shows and company meetings as appropriate

What experience should you have:

  • At least 3 years of successful sales experience in the dental or medical devices industry, or with direct competitors. Alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience, preferably in the medical device field
  • A bachelor's degree in business or a related science field
  • Proven ability to understand and articulate complex technical product and clinical information related to company and industry products
  • Proven professional sales skills in promoting products and their added value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer skills.
