What will you do
You will be responsible for shaping and leading the Backup & Disaster Recovery strategy, ensuring security, resi-lience, and business continuity. This customer-centric, business-aware role requires strong communication, do-main knowledge, and collaboration with engineers, developers, and stakeholders. Acting as the link between product management and security strategy, the Senior Product Owner ensures resilient, secure, and scalable solutions that protect assets, minimize downtime, and reduce operational and cyber risk.
Key responsibilities:
Strategy & Vision
- Define and drive the global BDR vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Align product strategy with business continuity and IT service continuity frameworks.
- Anticipate industry trends and vendor roadmaps to keep solutions future-ready.
Customer Centricity- Represent the customer voice and ensure solutions meet real business needs.
- Translate customer requirements into features, epics, and backlogs.
- Act as escalation contact for service quality and performance.
Product Management
- Maintain product catalogue, costs, SLAs, and lifecycle information.
- Create business cases and pitch them to leadership teams.
- Lead global roundtables and communities of practice.
- Coordinate with other product teams to resolve interdependencies.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with Finance and Governance teams on budgets, asset management, and recharge models.
- Actively participate in major incident management when required.
Innovation & Simplification
- Consolidate and streamline backup technologies to reduce complexity.
- Embed security into product design (encryption, immutability, air-gapped backups).
- Drive continuous improvement in resilience and disaster recovery testing.
This role reports to the Head of IT & OT Infrastructure and is key to shaping Heidelberg Materials’ global resilience posture.
