Technical Service Engineer (m/f/d)
Our client is a well-known medical device company that designs, manufactures, sells worldwide, and markets innovative noninvasive monitoring solutions. To further strengthen the team, the company is looking is seeking a Technical Service Engineer (m/f/d) at the distribution center in Hoofddoorp.
What will be your key responsibilities:
- Providing remote and occasional on-site support for products, solutions, and OEM devices
- Responding to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Troubleshooting system problems and reporting customer complaints
- Coordinating with vendors and hospital staff to support equipment (e.g., cables, routers, switches)
- Initiating repairs or replacements for defective products
- Performing repairs, upgrades, functional verifications, and unscheduled service calls
- Assisting sales teams with technical support during pre-sales activities
- Training customers on proper product use and addressing training issues
- Following up on product and training issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Conveying product feedback and improvement suggestions to Product Marketing
- Implementing service sales strategies and optimizing technical support processes
- Managing escalations for key customers and identifying service improvement opportunities
- Handling biohazard products and following procedures as needed
What experience should you have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1), fluency in any other language is a plus
- A Bachelor of Science in engineering or biomedical degree is required, or equivalent related clinical or technical experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong results orientation, positive "can do" attitude, and a sense of urgency to get things done
- Ability to work on a rotating after-hours on-call schedule from time to time
- Intermediate skills in routing and switching technology and concepts and network systems troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows, VMware, and Linux operating systems;
- Experience in Medical devices industry preferred
- Ability to travel occasionally when required
