C++ Developer | SW for HW | Brno

We are a team of 30 people and we are experts in robotics, AI and software development in C++ and Python. Playfulness, a desire to explore and innovate are an important part of our work. We work on interesting projects for automotive, smart agriculture, logistics, rail transport, mining or life science. Our focus includes sensor data processing, remote vehicle control, autonomy, anti-collision systems or computer vision.

For one of our projects, we are looking for a software developer with experience in C++.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Technologies we use at RoboAuto:

  • Primarily C++ 20/23, with a bit of Bash and Python.
  • Libraries: Boost, Qt, OpenCV, Eigen, Botan, etc.
  • We run on Linux and Docker, using Portainer, Conan, Git, CMake, CI, GitLab, and Google Tests.
  • We also work in areas such as networking, streaming, AI (development/application), embedded systems, drivers, and buses.

What you’ll do with us:

  • You’ll start with our internal development projects. At Roboauto, we work from the ground up – from sensors, embedded systems, and drivers, through algorithms, all the way to AI. And you can find your place anywhere along the way :)
  • You might be deploying hardware in real-world environments, remotely driving a car from the office, or testing and calibrating sensors while developing algorithms for obstacle detection and perception.

What experience should you have:

  • Practical experience with C++ development in C++17 (or newer) of at least 3 years.
  • At least basic knowledge of Linux and Git.
  • Ability to navigate through a large amount of information and learn quickly.
  • Willingness to take responsibility and ownership.
  • Proactivity and a collaborative spirit in finding solutions with colleagues.
  • Communication in English is not a problem for you, and Czech / Slovak is your first language.
  • You don’t mind spending 1–2 days a week at the customer’s site.

What do you get in return:

  • Exciting projects involving C++, AI, and cutting-edge technology.
  • Continuous learning (space for Innovation time) and professional growth opportunities.
  • A relaxed atmosphere, small team, and real influence — including direct contact with the founders.
  • Flexible working hours and home office options based on your preferences.
  • Work-life balance - time off with 25 vacation days, 5 personal days, and 3 sick days.
  • Annual allowance of up to CZK 15,000 for courses, and an annual budget of CZK 12,000 in the form of benefits.
  • Mobile phone plan covered by the company.
  • Fully stocked kitchen with snacks, fruits, yogurts, or ice creams.
  • CZK 100/day meal allowance.
