Commerce Tech Lead

As a Commerce Tech Lead, you will be entrusted with guiding and mentoring a dynamic development team, consisting of up to three members, where your primary focus will be on providing invaluable technical direction and robust support that fosters the team's growth, ensuring success, and leading to higher productivity and enhanced quality outcomes. You will spearhead the development and customization of Magento modules, ensuring these meet stringent business requirements and are meticulously optimized for superior performance, therefore driving operational efficiency and significantly boosting customer satisfaction, which is at the core of our business ethos.

Your role will also encompass establishing and enforcing comprehensive coding standards, best practices, and processes that guarantee high-quality code and effective solutions are consistently delivered. Part of your responsibilities will include evaluating, implementing, and customizing third-party extensions to significantly enhance the Magento platform's capabilities, thereby driving increased functionality and providing us with a critical competitive edge in the market. Moreover, you will ensure our Magento implementation strictly adheres to security best practices and complies exceptionally well with industry standards, thereby safeguarding customer data and maintaining rigorous regulatory compliance.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role, and you will work closely with project managers, product owners, and various other stakeholders aiming to align on set project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Your ability to lead technical discussions, conduct effective design sessions, and spearhead problem-solving initiatives will be invaluable, as your exceptional communication skills, along with a can-do approach to team leadership and continuous learning, will be paramount in achieving our ambitious project outcomes.

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related.
• Magento certifications such as Magento Certified Professional Architect are highly desirable.
• At least 6 years of experience in web development.
• Minimum of 5 years specializing in Magento development and architecture.
• Expertise in Magento platform for both B2B and B2C setups.
• Proficiency with GraphQL in relation to Magento.
• Familiarity with Magento 2 architecture and its ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Elastic Search/Open Search.
• PHP hands-on experience.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, design sessions, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Fluent in English.
