Data Engineer

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including data stewards and data owners, to define and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes, aligning with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain MDM solutions and frameworks that ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data across the organization’s systems, applications, and data platforms.
• Implement and manage data quality rules, validation checks, and data profiling techniques to monitor, measure, and improve data quality across the organization.
• Develop and maintain data lineage, data catalog, and metadata management solutions to ensure organization-wide visibility and understanding of data assets, their sources, dependencies, and relationships.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to integrate data governance and Master Data Management processes into existing data pipelines and workflows, leveraging automation and data engineering best practices.
• Participate in data modeling efforts, helping to define data entities, relationships, and attributes required for MDM and ensuring alignment with data governance policies.
• Continuously monitor and analyze data issues and recommend corrective actions to improve data quality, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards.
• Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on data governance and MDM processes, principles, and best practices, fostering a culture of data quality and consistency.

• Strong understanding of data governance concepts, frameworks, and best practices, including data quality, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and technologies, as well as expertise in data modeling and data integration.
• Familiarity with data storage and database technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL, and columnar databases.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Other skills that we would welcome:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a focus on data governance and master data management.
