Key Responsibilities
Total Rewards Strategy
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs.
• Design competitive total rewards programs for clinical professionals, healthcare support staff, and corporate employees.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on reward structures, workforce cost management, and labor market competitiveness.
Compensation Management
• Lead the design and maintenance of the job architecture, grading structures, salary bands, and career frameworks.
• Conduct regular market benchmarking using healthcare salary surveys.
• Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness across hospitals and social care facilities.
• Oversee annual salary review and bonus cycles.
• Develop compensation policies for shift work, overtime, on-call compensation, and clinical allowances.
• Support workforce planning and budgeting processes related to compensation costs.
Benefits Programs
• Design and manage employee benefits and wellbeing programs, including healthcare coverage, pensions, insurance, and wellness initiatives.
• Evaluate benefits utilization and cost effectiveness.
• Lead vendor selection and management for benefits providers.
• Ensure benefits programs support employee wellbeing and retention.
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
• Maintain transparency and governance in pay practices.
• Monitor pay equity and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Prepare documentation and reporting required for audits and regulatory compliance.
Data & Analytics
• Establish HR analytics and reporting related to compensation, benefits, and workforce costs.
• Provide insights to leadership on labor market trends, retention risks, and reward effectiveness.
• Manage compensation-related systems and tools.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and develop the Compensation & Benefits team.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, and senior leaders across hospitals and care homes.
• Support managers with compensation decisions and reward communication.
• Drive clear communication of reward programs to employees.
