Payment Specialist

As a Payment Specialist at Rohlik Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and secure payment experience for our customers. You will be responsible for guiding customer support teams, evaluating and optimizing payment processes, and leading improvements in payment area. Your expertise will also be vital in collaborating with our finance team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payment reconciliations and to address any ad-hoc analysis needs in response to the dynamic payments environment. The role is supporting the Head of payments and fraud prevention to maintain and adopt appropriate payment strategies, review payment logics, investigate non-standard payments behavior. Time to time you will work with large data sets, perform detailed analysis based on business needs to ensure payments optimization and risk minimization.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement in payment processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Evaluate the checkout payment process and customer experience to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, ensuring a smooth and secure payment journey for customers.
  • Monitor and analyze payment authorization rates, identifying potential issues and recommending action plans to optimize approval rates without compromising security or customer experience.
  • Provide guidance to customer support teams and regarding payment-related issues to ensure quick and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with the country finance team to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of payments and related financial records.
  • Monitor and maintain terminal fleet connected processes to ensure accurate payments processing across the group.
  • Swiftly handle high-priority, ad-hoc analysis in response to the rapidly changing environment of payments.
  • Manage requests from police or authorities concerning payments-related investigations. 

What experience should you have:

  • Experience in a payment specialist role or a similar function within financial services, fintech, or e-commerce is a plus but not required.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn payments area is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payment data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage projects independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex payment-related topics in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excel on advanced level.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (SQL, or BI tools) is an advantage.
  • A tech-savvy mindset with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and tools.
  • Good knowledge of languages: English at B2 level for daily usage.
  • Other languages especially Czech, German is an advantage.
