Payroll Specialist
We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join our Human Resources organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager HR Services, this role is directly responsible for leading a team, and engaging in the day-to-day oversight of the International payroll function for Novanta and any subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, deductions, and any additional compensation related transactions. The Payroll Supervisor is additionally responsible for the oversight of certain administrative tasks in support of HR Service Delivery activities including compensation workbooks, compliance, reporting and documentation of such tasks. This position interacts closely with all employees and partners within HR, Finance and Information Technology. The Payroll Supervisor will support the continued maintenance and development of systems as well as develop relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Jaké budou vaše klíčové odpovědnosti:
German Payroll Administration
Collect and submits payroll data - salary changes, bonuses, commissions, etc. via external provider’s systems
Check payroll outputs, looks for errors, ensures quick correction a problem resolution
Work with accounting/finance to maintain general ledger coding and resolve any discrepancies
Work with HR partners to resolve employee payroll questions
Regular communication with external payroll providers and other external service providers (pension and life insurance brokers).
Analyze time and attendance reports, support tracking of vacation plans and other absences
Providing reports as requested
Support other team members and team projects as required
Jaké zkušenosti byste měli mít:
Minimum 3 years of German payroll processing experience
Experience with ADP (or other outsourced payroll provider)
Fluent in conversational/business English and German
Organized and detail-oriented person with good problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Workday
Must handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
