What will be your key responsibilities:

As a Senior Buyer – Warehousing & Logistics, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless supply of high-quality warehousing services at optimal costs. You will play a key role in implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing logistics operations across Europe. This position offers a great opportunity to drive cost efficiencies, enhance service quality, and contribute to the company’s sustainability goals.

Strategic Procurement & Cost Optimization for EMEA:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for warehousing and logistics procurement.
  • Lead and support tendering activities, primarily for warehousing, while also working on other logistics subcategories.
  • Drive cost reductions and operational efficiencies through supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new suppliers, technologies, and logistics solutions.

Warehousing & Logistics Excellence:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to improve warehousing services, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Support the optimization of the warehousing footprint across Europe.
  • Contribute to the consolidation of warehouses within different business groups and units.
  • Enhance performance transparency and standardization of warehousing management.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management:

  • Negotiate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and service requirements.
  • Ensure smooth execution of supplier contracts and monitor their performance.
  • Resolve supply issues and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with logistics suppliers and industry partners to drive improvements.

What experience should you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics procurement, preferably at a European level.
  • Proven track record in warehousing procurement and project management.
  • Experience with 3PL and 4PL solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience handling large datasets (data mining, data crunching).
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with e-sourcing solutions.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • English language advanced knowledge.
  • German or Italian would be an advantage.
