Senior Construction Manager

As a Senior Construction Manager, you will lead the design and construction of new fulfillment centers, overseeing all phases of the project from site evaluation to handover.

What will be your key responsibilities:

The Senior Construction Manager reports to the Global Head of Automation and is responsible for the design and construction of new Rohlik fulfillment centers. This includes extending existing facilities and any new sites. The role combines construction engineering, planning, project-, and contract management. Responsibilities include taking the lead in identifying potential property extensions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Detailed duties involve due diligence evaluations, preparing specifications, negotiating with suppliers, managing sites, and ensuring that contracts meet business needs. The role also requires managing subcontractors, surveying facilities, and recommending infrastructure improvements.

What experience should you have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction management, particularly in industrial projects
  • Experience in the German construction market and with German authorities
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • English and German language on B2-C1 level is a must
