Senior QA Automation Engineer

• Collaborate with product and software teams to define QA parameters.
• Lead the QA team in designing, implementing, and improving automated test procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate test automation tools for one or more projects.
• Define and build scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks and strategies.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and oversee continuous test coverage.
• Drive QA documentation including test plans, test cases, and reports.
• Analyze and resolve quality issues; recommend improvements to QA processes.
• Define and track KPIs to monitor product quality and QA effectiveness.
• Ensure quality standards are met before deployment and release.
• Mentor and support QA Engineers and testers, particularly in automation best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align QA goals with overall product strategy.

• Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher); German language skills are a plus.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java or Python).
• Proven experience in agile environments (SCRUM and/or SAFe).
• Expertise in API test automation and UI automation using tools such as Selenium, Selenide, TestNG, Playwright, RestAssured, Hoppscotch.
• Familiarity with test reporting and management tools such as Allure and Xray.
• Working knowledge of Gradle, Git, and JIRA.
• Experience designing and managing GitLab/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Docker Compose.
• Experience working with BDD frameworks and methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership in designing test automation architecture from the ground up, especially with a focus on backend systems.
• Broad knowledge of modern test frameworks and tools.

Bonus skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exposure to AI-driven testing approaches and tools.
