Team Leader II & Accounting Solutions Coordinator – POLAND & SMALL ENTITIES

As member of the international general ledger department, you are responsible for supporting the management, monitoring, and controlling of a cross-border organization and accounting project. In this context, you will be responsible for the respective team of Experts & Senior Experts, and you will face the following interesting challenges.

In this role you play a critical role in ensuring end-to-end complex financial accounting processes are executed efficiently and timely, in compliance with local laws, accounting principles, and internal control standards and in line with customers’ expectations and across DTSE Business Units. 

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Hold the responsibility for the Team within Corporate Management department in Brno focusing on customers in Poland and Small entities in Europe
  • Oversee and support the execution of end-to-end complex financial accounting processes, ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, laws, and internal control systems
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations and complex problem-solving, provide expert guidance to both internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior management
  • Responsible for supervising and delegation of tasks regarding day-to-day activities to team members
  • Motivate the team and build their skills
  • Participate in design and implementation of strategic projects and initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, compliance, quality and digital transformation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Ensure the quality of the Team onsite and act as a point of contact for the customer’s management
  • Coordinate relevant internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses and quality in areas of Financial Statements, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, INTACTT, KPIs, Working instructions and Issue tracker.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, both within the Deutsche Telekom Services Europe organization and externally
  • Develop, design, measure, and ensure analytical and control activities are operating effectively within the department.
  • Representing the department in cross-functional projects, steering committees, and working groups, influencing decision-making at a senior level.
  • Prepare audit schedules and assist the auditors in their inquiries
  • Stabilize transferred activities with a focus on quality
  • Close cooperation with Closing & Consolidation Team, other SSC teams and Headquarters 

What experience should you have:

  • Fluent English; knowledge of Polish language is beneficial
  • University degree or equivalent vocational qualification + MBA or ACCA is beneficial
  • Proven previous team leadership experience
  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting with IFRS focus
  • Strong IFRS knowledge
  • Project & Process management experience, preferably in international transition projects
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance and Accounting Modules
  • Profound knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and moderation skills
  • Strong team player with enthusiasm for international environment and occasional travelling within Europe
