IT Delivery lead

The Delivery Lead oversees the end-to-end delivery of projects to ensure timely execution, effective resource management, and adherence to company methodologies. 

This role requires coordination between multiple teams, ensuring that project management frameworks are standardized and projects are executed efficiently. The Delivery Lead will also focus on optimizing the performance of ongoing projects, while continuously improving delivery processes and metrics tracking.

We operate from Prague but serve each country with the same approach and power. Therefore, traveling and visiting the countries is needed from time to time - implementation and launch of new features in fullfilment centers is expected.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  1. Project Execution:

    • Oversee the delivery cycle to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.

    • Establish clear communication protocols, including participants, periodicity, and agendas for internal project meetings (e.g., Iteration reviews, Stand-ups).

    • Define unified project status checks to ensure transparent reporting and progress monitoring across all projects.

  2. Methodology Standardization:

    • Standardize project management activities to ensure consistency and clarity across all projects.

    • Promote the use of established project management tools such as JIRA, and improve checks for issue statuses and task granularity.

    • Continuously review and refine project management methodologies to meet evolving project demands.

  3. Performance Optimization:

    • Analyze project performance metrics such as delivery speed, quality of outputs, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.

    • Implement rules for task granularity and ensure that tasks are well-defined and manageable.

    • Conduct regular reviews to ensure that project goals are aligned with overall business objectives.

  4. Team Collaboration and Guidance:

    • Lead cross-functional teams through the project delivery process, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

    • Provide coaching on project management best practices, offering guidance on process improvements, and ensuring compliance with delivery standards.

  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Implement ongoing improvements to project management methodologies, tools, and processes to increase overall efficiency.

    • Engage with stakeholders to communicate updates and manage expectations effectively.

    • Ensure that lessons learned from previous projects are applied to future work to enhance delivery capabilities.

What experience should you have:

Requirements for Delivery Lead:

  1. Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master, or similar are highly desirable.

  2. Experience:

    • Proven experience (5+ years) in project or delivery management, leading large-scale, cross-functional projects.

    • Experience in operations and fulfillment center processes is a big plus

    • Experience with agile methodologies, especially in managing delivery processes using Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Shape up).

    • Strong background in standardizing project management tools and processes across multiple projects (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

    • Previous experience in driving performance improvements, optimizing project execution cycles, and increasing delivery speed.

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Trello).

    • Understanding of delivery metrics, such as delivery velocity, sprint planning, and task granularity management.

    • Ability to standardize project execution workflows and implement rules for efficient delivery processes.

    • Strong knowledge of project documentation and reporting tools.

  4. Leadership and Communication:

    • Excellent leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration across departments.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders, manage expectations, and provide clear status updates.

    • Ability to train and mentor team members on delivery processes, project management methodologies, and tools.

  5. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

    • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and the ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments.

    • Proactive mindset for continuous improvement, always looking for ways to enhance project delivery cycles and team performance.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to improve delivery efficiency.
