Procurement Expert with German (Engineering & Construction)-possible remote

Our client's procurement team is growing and we are looking for experienced candidates with fluent German who are interested in the area of Constructions&Engineering!

What will be your key responsibilities:

Your position will be part of the team, which is responsible for procurement operations in the area of Constructions&Engineer for the German market.

Your main tasks will be the following:

Operative processing of supply and service agreements for products and services for defined
material groups (Requesting of operational and technical specification for supply and service agreements; requesting, evaluation, coordination, and negotiation of offers; preparing/making award decisions)

▪ Providing, analyzing, and communication of information about key markets and core suppliers and
development and implementation of measures to decrease procurement costs
▪ Consulting internal customers in procurement issues
▪ Supplier acquisition and onboarding to secure the fulfillment of requests
▪ Developing and agreeing on measures to steer and evaluate suppliers and collaborate with them
▪ Collecting agreement violations and being responsible for the clarification
▪ Operative processing of supply and service agreements for products and services for defined
material groups (verifying request; verifying offers; supplier qualification; creating purchase orders;
changing purchase orders; clarifying invoices)
▪ Analyzing and rating operating figures in defined subject areas, if needed take corrective
measures
▪ Suggesting efficiency increase, design and automation of procurement processes at the interface
to the supplier and internal customer as well as supporting these projects

What experience should you have:

What skills-set do we expect from YOU?

▪ At least 2 years of experience in purchasing products and services (networks, engineering & construction)
▪ Strong communication and negotiation skills are crucial for this role
▪ Very good ability to comprehend and carry out operative processes and procurement specific
requirements
▪ Good knowledge of enterprise resource planning and SAP
▪ Good knowledge of standard software and MS office


▪ Strong customer orientation as well as strategic thinking and acting
▪ Ability and knowledge to collaborate in virtual teams
