Quality Controller

The Quality Department, as the name implies, inspects the quality of goods such as fruits, vegetables, and animal products. In a nutshell, anything we can do to make it easier for everyone to shop faster and better, clearly from us. We also pay attention to and investigate complaints filed by the Customer Service Department.

The Quality Department is also in charge of developing, validating, changing, and monitoring HACCP documentation and operating processes, which is one of the most important tools for preventing food safety concerns.


What will be your key responsibilities:

Quality inspection - reception

  • Quality inspection - reception (deciding whether the goods meet the quality requirements, whether you return, sort or receive those goods);
  • Fluent communication with the purchasing department;
  • Communicating with suppliers - recording differences in the quality of products found and passing on information to suppliers;

Quality inspection - warehouse

  • Daily inspection of warehouse;
  • Quality inspection: in buffer (location given to the pallet, where goods are stored); on position (where a picker picks up goods for the customer);
  • Prioritisation of the release of fruit and vegetables according to ripeness (ripeness);
  • Coordination of the fruit and vegetable sorting team;
  • Checking compliance with FIFO (First in, First out) within the stock inventory;
  • Checking scales (calibration);
  • Monitoring customer complaints for F&V products, communicating with Customer Care Department;
  • Participate in inventory controls;
Other

  • Proposing placement of goods on offer/special promotions (last minute = discounted items);
  • Handling complaints about product quality to the supplier;
  • Handling quality complaints from customers - operational solutions, goods verification;
  • Depreciation records in case of unsatisfactory quality;


What experience should you have:

  • Excellent knowledge of food in general and fruit and vegetables in particular;
  • Ability to coordinate;
  • Ability to anticipate non-conformities;
  • Good communication skills within the team and with other departments;
  • Ability to learn quickly and find solutions;
  • Ability to analyse data;
  • "Drive" - enough energy to work in a challenging environment;
  • Quick decision making;
  • Solid knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets;
  • Knowledge of English is an advantage.
