What you will do as a Regulatory Compliance Manager
- Taking ownership of the regulatory compliance framework for regulated products, including understanding the product design and ensuring its alignment with relevant laws and market requirements across all target jurisdictions.
- Preparing regular compliance reports for management, summarising key risks, trends, regulatory updates and actions taken.
- Receiving, assessing, investigating, evaluating and resolving complaints from customers and business partners concerning regulated products (in particular nicotine products, food and food supplements).
- Ensuring that the complaint handling process and related documentation are fully compliant with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements across the EU, Switzerland and the UK.
- Collaborating with Legal, Quality, Production, Customer Support and Regulatory Affairs departments during internal investigations of complaint root causes.
- Communicating with external partners, government authorities and regulatory bodies in connection with regulatory complaints, enquiries, inspections or reporting obligations.
- Ensuring timely and transparent communication with customers regarding the outcome of investigations and any corrective actions taken.
- Preparing and updating internal procedures, SOPs and records related to the complaint handling and overall compliance activities.
- Maintaining complaint statistics and reporting, conducting trend analyses and proposing preventive or corrective measures.
- Supporting both internal and external audits, including inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Continuously monitoring changes in regulatory requirements related to product safety, complaints, recalls and market access for nicotine products, food and food supplement.
Necessary skills and experiences
- Proven experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the nicotine product, food, or food supplement sectors.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape across the EU, Switzerland, and the UK.
- Excellent communication skills, both for internal collaboration and external liaison with regulatory bodies.
- Ability to manage and resolve complaints in a compliant and customer-focused manner.
- Experience in preparing and updating compliance documentation and procedures.
- Fluent English, with additional languages being an advantage.
