SAP Migration Lead (A822)

1. Migration Planning  and Strategy Coordination:

• Collaborate with the integrators and key business stakeholders to define and refine migration strategies for transitioning data to SAP systems, particularly S/4HANA
• Assist in developing migration roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Milkyway program objectives and timelines
• Identify potential risks in the migration process and work with the integrator teams to implement risk mitigation measures
• Ensure that the migration strategy aligns with the target data structures, timelines, and business requirements.

2. Migration Process Management and Oversight:

• Coordinate and monitor all phases of the migration process, including analysis, extraction, transformation, validation, and data loading (ETL)
• Manage daily activities and track progress across multiple migration teams (technical teams, business teams, external integrators)
• Ensure that all data migration activities are executed according to the established timelines, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and quality
• Troubleshoot migration challenges in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring prompt resolutions and minimal disruptions
• Maintain regular communication with integrators to ensure that their work is on track and meets expectations

3. Team Coordination and Leadership:

• Act as the central point of contact between business stakeholders, migration teams, and external integrators, ensuring clear and effective communication
• Lead and coordinate efforts between the integrator teams (responsible for technical execution) and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Monitor and report on migration progress to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing regular updates on key milestones and issues
• Ensure that migration best practices are followed, collaborating with integrators to resolve any issues that arise during migration activities

4. Quality Control and Risk Management:

• Oversee quality control activities to ensure that data integrity is maintained throughout the migration process
• Work with integrators to develop and implement processes for data validation and testing, ensuring that the migrated data meets business requirements
• Implement monitoring processes to track migration performance and flag any potential risks early
• Coordinate the identification and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, ensuring that migration goals are met without compromising quality

5. Documentation and Communication:

• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of migration processes, strategies, and progress
• Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed through regular communication and progress reports
• Provide training and support to internal teams on data migration best practices and tools
• Prepare post-migration reports and ensure that all migration-related activities are documented for future reference

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or related areas is a plus
• Proven experience (3+ years) in coordinating complex SAP migration or transformation projects
• Experience managing teams, with a focus on coordination and cross-functional collaboration
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Data Services, and migration-related tools is a plus, but not required
• Strong background in managing data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms (e.g., cloud or SAP S/4HANA)
• Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines, ensuring deliverables are met
• Excellent project management skills, with experience leading large-scale migration projects
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly convey complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot migration-related challenges effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders to meet project objectives
• Experience working with external integrators or third-party vendors
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and practices
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality management best practices
