Senior MQ Specialist

What will be your key responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities


As an experienced MQ Specialist in Cloud Operations team, you will have the ability to share new improvement ideas and collaborate on projects. You’ll work in cloud operations team together with other specialists which have interest to develop our solutions. Some of the tasks that you will be responsible for:

Administration of MQ environments including upgrades and configurations.
Design and implementation resilient systems for new customer deployments.
Enable connectivity and security for MQ Queue Managers.
Support cloud operations team with queues and channels creation and maintenance.
Maintenance of production system availability and assist in investigation and troubleshooting incidents.
Develop automation scripts for MQ deployment & configuration.
Proactive monitoring system performance and advice for optimization.
Review the system to ensure it's in line with Cloud security best practices.

What experience should you have:

Required skills

Several years of experience of IBM MQ, other MQ experience is counted as an advance.
Experience in Linux (preferably RHEL) administration and maintenance.
Experience in developing Automation scripts, like Ansible.
Basic knowledge of public cloud, preferably AWS.
Preferred Skills

Previous experience working in Cloud environment (Private/Hybrid, Azure, AWS).
Proficiency in using ITIL systems like SERVICE NOW, and JIRA ticketing systems.
