Senior Product Owner for Collaborative Workplace

What will you do:

As a Product Owner for Collaborative Workplace, you will play a key role in shaping the future of collaboration and communication within Heidelberg Materials. You will do whatever it takes to deliver successful products that achieve impactful outcomes for our employees and business partners.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and continuous evolution of our Collaborative Workplace product portfolio, which is part of the broader Digital Workplace Platform, reporting to the Head of Digital Workplace.
  • Orchestrate the broader organization (including business units, IT, partners, and external vendors) to deliver innovative solutions that drive employee engagement, collaboration, and communication excellence.
  • Communicate effectively and with impact to all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment, transparency, and shared understanding
  • Act as the voice of the customer, understanding their needs, expectations, and pain points while aligning them with business goals and innovation opportunities.
  • Be continuously available and responsive to your development teams, ensuring alignment between product goals, user needs, and technical realities.
  • Make trade-off decisions based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders

Focus on two strategic product areas:

  • Microsoft 365 and Collaboration Tools – including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Exchange Online, as well as tools like Miro, Slido, and Adobe Sign. You will ensure these tools support productivity, teamwork, and security across the organization.
  • Contact Center, Telephony & Video – with products such as Genesys Cloud CX, enabling effective customer communication via voice and digital channels. You'll address varying workplace needs, from factory telephony to digital whiteboarding in HQ offices.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, technical literacy, business insights, and customer orientated approach — all to ensure our workplace tools are enabling, modern, and collaborative. 

What experience should you have:

We are looking for these competencies:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Product Owner or in a similar role such as Project Manager, Team Manager or Consultant.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 platforms, products, related tools and services
  • Proven experience with VoIP infrastructure and cloud telephony solutions, including Teams Phone and Cloud Contact Center platforms like Genesys Cloud
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Proficiency in creating and prioritizing product backlogs, roadmaps and user demands.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for guiding teams and interacting with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Organizational prowess to handle multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Forward-thinking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and staying abreast of technological advancements
  • Must be able to travel internationally as required by the role; travel frequency and duration will depend on business needs.
