QA Engineer (A726)

We seeking a QA Engineer, with the option for full remote work, available either on a contract or full-time basis depending on preference.

This role involves developing and executing exploratory and automated tests, debugging, and implementing corrective actions.

What will be your key responsibilities:

  • Review system requirements, specifications, and technical designs, providing meaningful feedback.
  • Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly.
  • Conduct regression testing after bug fixes.
  • Implement testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor and document debugging results.
  • Investigate non-conforming software issues and recommend solutions.
  • Track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities, open defect counts).
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools and strategies.

What experience should you have:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Proven experience in software development and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test plans and cases.
  • Hands-on experience with white-box and black-box testing.
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.
